Over the last few years, the vegan lifestyle has been popularized by health and animal-cruelty advocates. Eating meat has also been contributed to much criticism with the growing diseases that are passed from poultry and meat to humans. The study was conducted by the Medical Univesity of Graz where the vegetarian diet was administered to a group of 1320 people. They were introduced to the diet that consisted of lesser saturated fat and cholesterol, because of the inclusion of more plant-based foods. The health risks that were posed with the diet was elevated risks of contracting cancers, allergies, and issues with mental health.

Along with the poor lifestyle, vegans also posed a higher risk for medical treatments. There has been a massive controversy that the study was a work of the meat industry to fight back for their top spot on the lifestyle choices of people. However, the university has been fighting off attacks by organizations and fighting suits that claim the same.
When you look at the picture on the whole front, the study does make sense indeed as while the human body can process the vegan foods; the body is also susceptible to the tender nature of the plant nutrients. One should consider that persons who have lived all their lives as vegans might be able to cope better with the vegan lifestyle than those who change from eating meat to the other side. In reality, it comes down to continue entering your body on the medical front to ensure that you are in the right health.
